PART-TIME RURAL SURVEYOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
We are looking for an efficient and driven individual to take on a secretarial role for a small team in the centre of Towcester. We are a new team within a well established firm of Rural Chartered Surveyors and are looking for someone to work part time, preferably 10-4 Monday to Friday (negotiable) who wants to grow and develop with the office. There may also be potential for the role to progress into a full time position.
Previous experience would be preferred, but not essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst also being happy to work as part of a team; have a keen eye for attention to detail; a willingness to learn new skills; be organised and have good computing skills.
Day-to-day tasks will include typing for various members of the team, answering the phones and taking messages, assisting with the preparation of professional reports, property sales particulars, planning applications and other professional documents.
The role will also include general office administration; file management, organising meetings, invoicing, updating databases, taking messages and dealing with general enquiries.
Howkins & Harrison is a firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents with offices throughout the Midlands. In 2016 we opened a residential agency office on Watling Street, Towcester which was followed by the introduction of the Rural team in January 2017. The role available is for a rural administrative assistant to support our team of three chartered surveyors. We are based on the 2nd floor of a town centre office. At present all of the team work part time out of the office on varying schedules but it is hoped that two will become full-time throughout the course of the year.
