Saturday 8th July saw our second of three Andrew Baughan collective sales scheduled for this year.
A day of mixed weather from bright sunshine to a few downpours produced 850 lots from 58 vendors.
We started with approximately 500 smaller lots in which there was something for everyone from a flagpole for £75, an array of pheasant feeders selling for £10 per piece and anvils selling from £190 to £410.
A hovercraft that was nearly needed during one downpour sold for £500.
In the machinery section we had a good collection of tractors with the highlights being two Fords selling for £3,700 each, International Harvester 785L at £2,150, Massey Ferguson 135 for £3,400 and a David Brown 770 at £3,000.
A 32’ bale trailer made £2,300 and a Ford Transit Tipper Van sold for £1,450. A nearly new Ifor Williams HB511 horse trailer made £5,600.
Our next dispersal sale is a complete smallholder’s dispersal sale on 19th August on behalf of the executors of Mr N Astley at Broadwell near Rugby. Staying in the Rugby area in September we are holding a farm dispersal sale on behalf of Messrs S Webster on the 16th to which further entries are invited.
