FARM SALES – COLLECTIVE AUCTION REPORT

Saturday 8th July saw our second of three Andrew Baughan collective sales scheduled for this year.

A day of mixed weather from bright sunshine to a few downpours produced 850 lots from 58 vendors.

We started with approximately 500 smaller lots in which there was something for everyone from a flagpole for £75, an array of pheasant feeders selling for £10 per piece and anvils selling from £190 to £410.

A hovercraft that was nearly needed during one downpour sold for £500.

In the machinery section we had a good collection of tractors with the highlights being two Fords selling for £3,700 each, International Harvester 785L at £2,150, Massey Ferguson 135 for £3,400 and a David Brown 770 at £3,000.

A 32’ bale trailer made £2,300 and a Ford Transit Tipper Van sold for £1,450. A nearly new Ifor Williams HB511 horse trailer made £5,600.

Our next dispersal sale is a complete smallholder’s dispersal sale on 19th August on behalf of the executors of Mr N Astley at Broadwell near Rugby. Staying in the Rugby area in September we are holding a farm dispersal sale on behalf of Messrs S Webster on the 16th to which further entries are invited.

Andrew will be hosting the next collective sale on Saturday 7th October. To ensure your lots are advertised please contact Gilly Wrathall to enter in advance.
