Adrian Johnson Farm Dispersal Sale Report
Following his decision to retire from farming and travel the world with his wife, Adrian Johnson kindly instructed Howkins & Harrison to
A genuine complete farm dispersal held on behalf of W G H Agri, formerly Hallam Partners, attracted a large crowd to Stretton Hall Farm on Saturday 12 September. More than 100 buying accounts were registered on the day, with bidders participating both at the sale and online.
The dispersal followed the decision to retire from farming after almost 100 years at Stretton Hall Farm. With the fourth generation of the Hallam family pursuing careers away from the farm, James and Cath have decided to focus on their landscaping business.
Buyers travelled from Wisbech, Lancashire and across the neighbouring counties. Strong demand throughout the sale reflected the quality of the machinery and equipment presented by the Hallam family.
The main vendor offered 327 lots, achieving an excellent clearance rate of 98%. A further 279 lots were kindly included by outside vendors, of which more than 81% were sold.
Overall, it was an excellent and highly enjoyable sale. The strong attendance and high clearance rates were a credit to the vendors and the quality of the lots offered.
Howkins & Harrison would like to thank the Hallam family for their kind instructions. Thanks must also go to the wider team for the considerable effort involved in preparing the sale and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day.
Our next on-site dispersal sale will take place at Retreat Farm, Thornton, Coalville, on Saturday 26 September.
