*IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: PARKING, FARM DISPERSAL SALE 24.02.24*
Following the significant rain over the last few days, we will now NOT be able to use the field opposite the farm as the car park for tomorrow’s farm sale as we had hoped due to the wet weather. Tractors and trailers only will be able to park behind the farm buildings traveling through the farmyard so if possible, use a tractor and trailer instead of 4 x 4 and trailer if you need to bring a trailer if at all possible.
We are concerned that towing vehicles in and out is likely to cause significant issues with mud on the road, notwithstanding the damage caused to the field.
Therefore, we have attempted to make alternative arrangements but unfortunately, we will not have as many spaces as we normally would. If you are attending tomorrow’s farm sale and you know of other friends and family that are due to attend, please consider sharing a lift where possible, to minimise the number of vehicles attending.
We have made alternative arrangements for parking at the following:
Corley Cricket Club car park, CV7 8AA circa 50 spaces for cars and 4 x 4’s only, no trailers, tractors or lorries due to restricted height. what3words: dates.sticks.owners
Taffs Farm, Smorrall Lane, Astley, Bedworth CV12 0NL, kindly offered by a client, what3words: stole.cubs.aura, circa 60 spaces.
As per our social media posts yesterday, there is parking available at Corley Service Station, northbound, CV7 8NR what3words: deaf.diner.rice
The first two hours are free and parking is chargeable beyond that period. Please make yourself aware of the charges. We will not be held responsible for any parking fines should you exceed the two-hours free parking. Further information can be found at the Corley Service Station website. https://www.welcomebreak.co.uk/journey-planner/parking/
We have notified the police that the sale is going ahead, and we request that NO vehicles park on Rock Lane. Any vehicles parking on Rock Lane do so at their own risk and we will not be held responsible for any damage or parking offences incurred.
We strongly urge any attendees to be respectful to the local community and not to block any gateways to fields or driveways to residential properties to avoid any conflict. We have notified the Parish Council of the sale so they are aware what is happening.
We are obviously very grateful to use the car park at the the Cricket Club and at Taffs Farm but please be respectful and do not park on the grass at these venues please park ONLY on hardstanding and be respectful to other users.
We all hope the sale will be successful for our clients and welcome all to attend but please be respectful to the residents and our staff on the day, we cannot be blamed for the weather.
