May’s Property and Land Auction Results

On Wednesday 8thMay, the Howkins & Harrison Ashby Office held their first property and land auction of 2019. It was at a new venue, the Ivanhoe Social Club in Ashby de la Zouch.

The auction was organised by our rural surveyor Anna Meynell who took two lots forward on the evening.  The auction was well attended with a full room and a vibrant atmosphere.

The first lot was a detached 4 bedroom property in Ashby in need of renovation. It exceeded its reserve with the hammer falling at £236,000.

The second lot to be auctioned was 9.79 acres of woodland at Swepstone. This attracted a lot of interest cumulating in a bidding war on the night and resulting in a final sale price of £84,000.

The properties were auctioned by Mike Fallowell who animated the room and got the punters bidding.

Following on from this successful auction Anna has planned her second property and land auction for early September.

If you think you have any suitable property or land please give Anna a call on 01530 877977 or email anna.meynell@howkinsandharrison.co.uk.

Alternatively, if you would like a chat about property sales Anna would be pleased to hear from you.
