Following his decision to retire from farming and travel the world with his wife, Adrian Johnson kindly instructed Howkins & Harrison to hold a complete farm dispersal sale on his behalf at Retreat Farm, Thornton.
On Saturday 26th September, the Howkins & Harrison team conducted the sale, which attracted large crowds and over 110 buying accounts on the day, including online bidders.
Bidders from across the Midlands, Cumbria, Cornwall and Wiltshire took part, with almost 500 lots on offer. The prices achieved reflected the quality of the items.
The main vendor offered 153 lots, achieving a clearance rate of 99% on the day.
In addition, 343 outside lots were included from 22 different vendors, with over 86% sold.
Overall, this was an excellent and very enjoyable sale, with strong attendance and almost everything sold — a credit to our vendors.
Special thanks go to the wider team for their hard work in setting up the sale and helping it run smoothly on the day.
We look forward to seeing you at the Andrew Baughan Collective on Saturday 3rd October 2026 at Oak Farm, Upper Boddington.
