Fodder Sales Review

Fodder Sales Review

The first winter fodder sale of the autumn was held in November with the demand for hay and silage surpassing all expectations. Massey Ferguson bales of meadow hay topped at £78 per bale and round bales of silage achieved £41 per bale.

Vendors, who adjusted to this year’s level of prices, were well rewarded with clearance of wheat and barley straw. Massey Ferguson bales of barley straw sold to £30 per bale and New Holland BB9090 bales of wheat straw sold to £33 per bale.

All upcoming sales are listed on our auctions page: www.howkinsandharrison.co.uk/auctions/
